Foraging

I’m thinking about a river

Where light creates crystals

And tenderness beckons

Me into her water

I’m thinking about oak trees

Rattling softly in the breeze

Cheering for me

As the gusts shake her leaves

These spirits they hold me

Caress my body

Challenge and warm me

‘Til I find my way home

The fog’s frosted sunbeams

And the crinkle of snap peas

Are my mentors, my friends and

The song that’s within me

No creature’s unworthy

Of loving touch and gaze

We all dance together

‘Til we find our way home
