The curse is officially over! With the start of week 14, my record is 5-7 and I am overjoyed. While I’m not in first place, I’m not in last place either, and I consider that a win.
With the upcoming fantasy playoffs, I’ve done some research in an attempt to understand, and let me just say that it is confusing. The first thing that I’ve learned is that each league has different rules for playoffs that are determined by the league manager. For my league, there will be five playoff teams, three byes, and three rounds (each lasting one week). Because there are three byes, the top three seeds automatically move into the second round and the first round is just the fourth and fifth seed battling it out to see who will make round two. As of right now, I am the fifth seed but that is dependent on how my team performs this week. In other leagues that have more people, there would be a consolation playoff, which determines the rankings of the bottom half of the league.
Eagles fan update: Being an Eagles fan has been a roller coaster ride. I was shamed by my 12-year-old cousin and uncle, who are both die-hard Jets fans, at Thanksgiving. My ego was a bit bruised but I quickly recovered after their close win against the Bills the following Sunday (can I tell you, that was nerve-racking, to say the least). However, their loss against the 49ers this past Sunday was embarrassing and I felt the need to hide in my dorm for a bit after that one.
I found every article that I read by Addison Star was so informative. I now know so much more about all these events that are happening at Muhlenberg. The writing is superb. Keep it up Addison.
