Hi, besties! Welcome back to this week’s edition of Paige’s Page! I have been told by many of you, my lovely readers, that these last few editions have been a little on the sad side. Sorry, I was in a weird mood, but it’s sunny now! I’m sure you all know what that means… HAPPY PAIGE! This week we are having fun, spring break starts so soon and I could not be more excited to have a break! For this week there is no theme. I am answering some questions that I think are super fun and I hope you enjoy reading them. Let’s get into it!

Hey, Paige! Where can I get cute little party tops without spending a pretty penny?

Hi, bestie! You must know, the way to my heart is fashion! I love this question because it is so hard especially if you are picky like I am. My favorite place to get cute tops is Garage. Without question, they have the best stuff and they have a chokehold on my bank account. They can be pretty expensive but their sale section is always super discounted and if you do their rewards program, they send you coupons. I also love H&M. They have a great student discount, and they have so many cute things. I think another obvious one is Forever 21, which is so cheap but their stuff can be hit or miss. I also thrift a lot of my going-out tops. I love thrifting and it is more sustainable than shopping from big corporations. There is no ethical consumption under capitalism, however, we can do our best to limit our shopping at large corporations that have unethical practices.

Hi Paige, I feel like once I’ve talked to 3 people on this campus there’s nobody left since their friends become off-limits and this school is so small. HELP!

Hey, bestie. I don’t think a lot of people are going to like this answer but I am going to say it anyway because it needs to be said. Their friends are not off-limits. There are millions of fish in the sea, but there are less than 2000 people at Muhlenberg College and even fewer people to choose from based on preferences, etc. If you date their friends, they can’t make you off-limits to their friends if they didn’t want you to begin with, or you just didn’t click with them. Life is all about trying new things until they work for you, and just because things didn’t work out with one person who you thought was great doesn’t mean their best friend isn’t also cool, or their teammate, the person they are working on a group project with, their suitemate, their frat brother or sorority sister. College is short. It is four years that you get to learn about yourself, what you like, and what you don’t before you go into the real world. Don’t stress too much about how one person is going to feel about your dating life because that is no one’s issue but your own. Have fun, who cares.

Hi Paige! I know you are a gluten-free gal, what are your favorite GQ foods? I want to try some new things!

Hey, bestie! This is a fantastic question! I don’t like trying new things pretty much ever so I have only a few go-to items. I also don’t eat meat so the list is short but so fun. Okay so, my favorite GQ meal by far is the one and only breakfast bowl. It is everything anyone could want and more. I personally am not a tater tots person so I get it with fries. It’s a GAME CHANGER. I also have been getting it with avocado recently, and it’s perfection. You may also see me in GQ with a container of everything but the bagel seasoning and red pepper flakes, which I put on my breakfast bowl, and it is the best thing literally ever. Another favorite (that apparently not a lot of people know about) is the veggie and rice bowl. It’s so filling, and you get all of your food groups in there and you should also add avocado to it, it’s wonderful. This last recommendation is not from GQ, but you can get it with your dining dollars, so I am promoting it to all of you. The matcha chocolate donuts from Java are new and my new favorite thing. I wanted to gatekeep them but alas, here you go, enjoy. Also, a fun piece of information that I learned recently: if you are allergic to gluten or you have celiac like me, stop using paper straws! There is gluten in the glue that holds the straw together. Stay safe out there besties!
