The ghostly super speedy woman

Agnes and her friend Hilde were walking along,

Along the mighty coast singing a song,

When suddenly at the end of the docks they turned around and saw,

What made her friend Hilde drop her jaw.

Was a old woman, short as can be,

Walking away from them with great speed.

The women looked at each other in shock,

They had not heard nor saw her as they had walked.

They forgot the old woman and continued to talk,

about carrots, the birds, and a great beanstalk,

When they looked back at the woman they became surprised at her pace,

Since the gap between them had grown a great space,

She had grown to such a dot far on the horizon,

That she reminded them of the size of a hole that lets mice in.

A few moments later they stopped to gaze at the sea,

Watching naval boats, swans swimming, and towered spires in the city.

Looking back towards the way they came, the woman had disappeared,

Gone without a trace, “well that is just weird!”.
