Da piccola mi piaceva uscire con mia sorella e con mio fratello,
giocavamo e correvamo nel parco vicino al nostro appartamento,
mangiavamo il gelato di cocco e le empanadas di formaggio.
Non mi piaceva quando dovevo svegliarmi sempre presto,
quando mi ammalavo,
e quando dovevo andare a scuola.
Camminavo alla tabaccheria tutti i giorni
e parlavo con il proprietario della tabaccheria.
Parlavamo della mia famiglia:
una volta abbiamo deciso che mia sorella è molto timida,
che mio fratello è divertente,
e che mia madre è bella.
Mi preoccupavo molto di mio cugino
perché era molto malato.
I miei cugini, le mie cugine e io andavamo sempre insieme,
giocavamo e guardavamo la tv.
Viviamo nello stesso appartamento.

When I was younger I liked to go outside with my sister and brother,
We would play and run in the park close to our apartment,
We ate coconut ice cream and cheese empanadas.
I didn’t like it when I had to always wake up early,
when I would get sick,
and when I had to go to school.
I would walk to the corner store every day
and talk to the owner.
We talked about my family:
One time we agreed that my sister is very shy,
that my brother is funny,
and that my mom is beautiful.
I would worry a lot about my cousin
because he was very sick.
My cousins and I would always hang out together,
We played and watched tv.
We lived in the same apartment building.
