On Sunday, Sept. 8, the Student Government Association’s (SGA) special election results became official. Four students, all from the Class of 2028, won the special election, gaining SGA seats for the entirety of the academic year. The newly elected representatives are Charles Cuadra ‘28, Lauryn Glass ‘28, Amanda Growney ‘28 and Alessandra Rodriguez ‘28.

When asked to reflect on her thoughts after being elected, Growney stated, “I’ve always loved being able to amplify a community voice and improve the environment I am involved in. Being an SGA representative is so important to me because I can do this. I’m so excited to see what Muhlenberg can become.”

In a similar vein, Rodriguez expressed, “I decided to run because I’m passionate about making a positive impact on our campus and ensuring that every student’s voice is heard. I believe that by working together, we can create meaningful change and foster a strong sense of community at Muhlenberg. I’m looking forward to representing my classmates and collaborating with others to make our college experience the best it can be.”

Sabeen Safi ‘26, SGA vice president, spoke of her excitement for the new representatives. “Congrats to our newly elected first-year reps! Their enthusiasm and commitment already shine, and we’re confident they will bring fresh ideas and meaningful contributions to student life at Muhlenberg.”

Congratulations to the newly elected representatives!
