Friday’s “Classes Without Quizzes” transported alumni back to the classroom, offering them a chance to learn from professors once again. One of the sessions, “Eating Italian-Jewish Style,” led by Lecturer in Italian and French Daniela Viale, was an interactive exploration of Italian-Jewish history and cuisine. Alumni of all ages filled the room, creating a dynamic reminiscent of a Muhlenberg classroom today—nervous energy, humor and deep engagement. Sherry ’69, Susan ’71 and Robert ’69 were engaged in the lively discussion and shared their enjoyment of the class. Susan remarked, “It’s amazing how professors can hold a room’s attention for so long,” a sentiment echoed by the others with enthusiasm. Unfortunately, their name tags only displayed first names, making it hard to gather full identities.
